Mitzvah House (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect on mitzvahhouse.com, forms.mitzvahhouse.com and our event and donation pages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, email, phone and address, when you sign up for updates, register for an event, volunteer, or donate.
- Family and children’s details, only when a parent gives them to sign a child up for a program: the child’s name, grade, school and allergies.
- Donation details: amount, date and method. Card payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe, PayPal and Donorbox). We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic website data like pages visited, collected by our website host and simple analytics tools.
How we use it
- To run our programs and events, and to keep kids safe (for example, allergies and pickup).
- To send donation receipts and thank-you notes.
- To send our weekly email and event updates, if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor it.
- To understand how many people our programs serve, as totals with no names.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information, and we never share children’s information for marketing. We share only what’s needed with the services that help us run Mitzvah House:
- our donor and program database (CRM),
- our email delivery service (Resend), which sends our emails,
- our website, forms and payment providers.
Each one may use your information only to provide its service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
Children
Our programs serve children, but children’s information comes to us from their parents. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 online. By attending a Mitzvah House event, you agree that photos and videos of you and your children may be taken and shared on our website, social media and printed materials. If you’d rather we not post your child, just tell a staff member at the event. We never post a child’s last name or school with their photo. A parent may ask to see, correct or delete their child’s information at any time.
Keeping it safe
Access to our database is limited to Mitzvah House staff, with individual logins. We use secure (encrypted) connections and keep only what we need.
Your choices
