Doug got more than he bargained for when he came to make a delivery this morning. He came to deliver beautiful Shabbat candle lighting cards that we are giving out at the 30th birthday celebration tonight and left having a bar mitzvah! Earlier this week Rabbi Zalmy found a wonderful Jew stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire. Steve got help AND a bar mitzvah. Honestly, good for Doug and Steve. With the price of hall rentals and bar mitzvah parties nowadays, I'd say they got a good deal! For all your bar mitzvah (and tefillin, and mitzvah) needs please reach out anytime!
Light Shabbat candles in Dunwoody, GA before 8:15 PM. If you'd like to teach someone a lesson, speak kindly (and mean it). From this week's Torah portion, Emor.
We'll be doing another run of Mitzvah Kitchen in June! Please nominate someone you think may appreciate receiving a full Shabbat dinner delivered to their door to right now. We'd love for you to make it happen! Volunteer to come cook pack or deliver the meals.
