The talented rise. The dedicated succeed. That's how it works, right? Maybe.
But what if someone else was handed the same family, the same connections, finances, talents, and opportunities. Would they have done the same?
Better? We can't know.
This isn't meant to humiliate. It's meant to humble.
Show up completely, work hard, feel genuine pride in a job well done. But the results belong to G-d. Even the
desire to work hard, the energy to show up, the clarity to make good decisions, that's from G-d. Our strength is one piece of a much bigger lift. Gratitude comes from knowing you gave everything and also knowing you weren't doing it alone. Messages from this
week's Torah portion Eikev.
