Our challenges can feel overwhelming, like the floodgates have opened and we're struggling to stay above water.

But within the צרה (trouble) lies the צהר (light).

The words share the same letters, just rearranged. Within the struggle lies the potential for healing, goodness and triumph.

The flood was part of the world's transformation. The journey through difficulty is what creates the light that follows.

We are not left to tread water and grapple in the dark on our own. Noach's תיבה (teivah, ark) held the צהר, the shining light.
תיבה (teivah) means both a boat and a word. When I feel caught in the flood, I need to step into my own תיבה, anchoring myself in the words of prayer and the wisdom of Torah, the blueprint of creation. They become my lifeboat, helping me find clarity and direction even when the waters are raging.
