In a week from this Sunday on April 14th* we have a Model Matzah Bakery / Art workshop at ACE hardware in Dunwoody Village. I'll be dressed up as your local farmer so your kids get the full experience. We are designing and decorating glass cups of Elijah too. Today is a good day to sign up so we have supplies SIGN UP
*Currently the workshop is from 10-12pm. What's your thoughts on adding a second session at 2 pm?
Want Shmura Matza? Email or message me and I'll bring some to your house.
There's two community seder options, Monday and Tuesday evening and a model seder for kids (and parent's- lets be honest everyone want's kids dinner) on April 23rd led by Moshe and Pharoah. We hired them specially for this. and this is their busy season. Join us for one or all seders.
Light Shabbat candles this Friday afternoon before 7:43 PM in Dunwoody, GA. Interestingly enough (nothing is coincidence!) we read the Torah portion about the moon this week. The moon is cool. Sometimes it's big, grand, and bright and sometimes barely visible. This week the momentous eclipse happens on Rosh Chodesh, in the moon's darkest hour. Usually the new moon isn't visible but right now it blocks the sun (400 times it's size and soo much brighter!!!) A good reminder about our story, as Jewish people compared to the moon. We wax and wane. But even during the darkest and most difficult times we still stand strong and bright. A nod to the eternal spirit of our people.
