Fine. Fair.

One of our Mitzvah Kitchen volunteers had a great idea. She said we should send out separate updates just for volunteering. Not everyone catches the weekly email, and people want to know exactly when they can show up and help.

So we’re doing it.

If you want to be part of this, if you want to know when we’re cooking, packing, and prepping, click this link. THIS IS A LINK

It’ll take you to the Big Giving Day event page, but more importantly, it’ll add your email to the volunteer list. You’ll be the first to hear when there’s a chance to show up and make a difference.

Let’s talk Big Giving Day. It’s coming up fast. (Everything feels fast once the school year kicks off.)

Come solo. Bring friends.

You’ll be chopping, packing, cooking. The energy in the room is incredible. Music’s great. People are laughing. It’s the best kind of work.

If your teen needs service hours, this counts. Not in school? You’re still welcome. THIS IS A LINK TO CLICK TO SIGN UP

For those with kids in public school:

If your child goes to Vanderlyn, Kingsley, Austin, or Dunwoody Elementary, or Chamblee or Ridgeview Middle, please fill out the form (here's the link to the form)

so we know they’re joining Jewish Heritage Club this year.

Light Shabbat candles today, Friday, August 1st, before 8:19 PM in Dunwoody, GA.

Speak from your soul. Don’t be afraid to show up fully, honestly, and with your own voice.

This message is inspired by this week’s Torah portion, Devarim.

Sunday is a fast day. Wishing you an easy fast, and hoping for peace, healing, and Moshiach, so that fast days like this won’t be needed anymore.

Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Zalmy Goldberg

P.S. Planning a bar or bat mitzvah? Want to host a meaningful service day for your bridal party or coworkers? We can help you make it special. Host a Mitzvah Kitchen service day or Challah bake. Email us for more info.
