What if your food could feel you?
Every piece of food in this world holds a spark of G-dliness inside it. And many people just… swallow it. No acknowledgment. Like passing someone you know in the hallway without making eye contact.
When we say a blessing, we see it. We say: I know where you came from. Thank you.
That changes everything about the food and us. With a blessing, the sparks awaken. We see the divine inside.

When we eat with that focus, we don't just exist on autopilot, moving through the motions, one meal blurring into the next. We connect. And an ordinary Tuesday snack becomes something that elevates the whole day.
This is what we discussed at our last Jewish Heritage Club in public schools for this year.
The kids were electric + locked in, talking over each other in the best way, racing to take home their magnet of blessings to hang on the fridge.
That's a whole year of Jewish messages and light walking through the doors of public schools completed. Lots to be proud of.

Shabbat Shalom,
Rabbi Zalmy Goldberg
This Friday is my (Rabbi Zalmy's) birthday, and it would mean the world to have you there to celebrate with me.
Come to say happy birthday! or come for the gourmet pizza, the cheesecake selection, and the fun activities for kids. Or come for the mitzvah of the day: hearing the Ten Commandments. Because it's been a few thousand years, and newborns through centenarians keep showing up to receive this new energy wisdom and light fresh every single year.
